Summer-Ready Skin: get glowing from head to toe

titleSix easy tweaks to your beauty routine and you’ll be ready to bare beautiful, radiant skin by the first warm days.

Adios, Dry Skin!
Reveal fresh, beautifully younger-looking skin by sloughing away the dead, dull skin that’s adding years to your appearance. A luxurious sugar scrub can do the trick. Pay special attention to elbows, knees and heels. To smooth away the annoying red bumps of Keratosis Pilaris and restore balanced, healthy skin, look for washes or lotions with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) like Glycolic Acid or Lactic Acid. An added bonus to exfoliated skin, your other skin care treatments will work more effectively and your makeup will last even longer.

adiosSayonara, Cellulite!
Tighten skin and diminish dimples with body-contouring creams and sculpting serums with cellulite-fighting ingredients like Caffeine, Glycolic Acid and Copper Peptides. These magic potions stimulate circulation, melt trapped fluids and fat, creating the look of firm, toned skin. Adding a detox supplement or detoxifying foods to your diet can also help smooth and tone skin. A trip to the spa for a fat-blasting treatment can also improve the appearance of cellulite.

celluliteSo Long, Spider Veins & Dark Spots!
You can fade these telltale signs of aging without expensive, painful treatments and wear shorts and swimwear with confidence again. Creams with Vitamin K help diminish spider veins, broken capillaries and unsightly bruising. Exfoliation with AHAs will help fade dark spots, but don’t go overboard or you risk making spots worse. Brightening serums with antioxidant Vitamin C, Licorice and other cell-renewing agents help turn over new cells and balance skintone.

solongFarewell, Fuzz!
Get swimsuit-confident and fuzz-free by Memorial Day with wax or laser hair removal. There are even affordable home laser machines that let you do hair removal in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Using pulsed light technology, the laser targets and zaps dark hair down to the follicle. And don’t forget the fine, barely-there fuzz on your upper lip. It may not seem so noticeable, but in the sun’s natural light, it’s much more visible. Look for a gentle hair removal cream designed especially for your face.

farewellAu Revoir, Winter Routine!
As warm weather moves in, it’s time to switch up your routine with lighter weight moisturizers and a deeper cleansing ritual. But even though you’re going lighter with the moisture, don’t go too light. Well-hydrated skin is plump, dewy and youthful. It’s still a good idea to use a repairative night cream so you wake looking rejuvenated. And don’t forget to hydrate from the inside out. Keep a water bottle handy all day long. Your skin will thank you!

aurevoirGoodbye, Pale Complexion!
Sometimes all you need for your skin to look a little more firm and youthful is a bit of sunkissed color. Do it the safe, sun-free way with a touch of bronzer. You can even mix in a drop with your favorite moisturizer for a warm glow. Some multi-tasking formulas even have firming agents to contour and tighten as you bronze. But whatever you do, don’t forget the SPF. Look for a broad spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVA rays. And that’s a tip to do any time of the year!

    Dear Linda,

We do not carry a tanning lotion with sunblock and it is possible that there isn’t one available on the market. We would recommend using two separate products. Happy tanning!

    Sincerely,
    Soft Surroundings

Is there a moisturizing artificial tanning lotion that also has sun block in it?

  • Debra

Love my purchase. Soft Surroundings has unique clothes I love the styles
