Curves Have Always Been “In”

By on September 24, 2015, in Soft Surroundings

Whether browsing fashion magazines or online fashion blogs, phrases such as “curves are the new skinny” are popping up everywhere. Models with healthy bodies are starting to grace the pages of Vogue, People, and Sports Illustrated – as well as the runways.

As a result, plus-sized models in print, on screen, and in social media are gaining celebrity status, and more and more clothing designers are offering extended-size ranges for their collections. Women who shop these sizes are now less limited than ever when it comes to exploring new trends and new styles.

The fashion industry has a long way to go, but it’s still exciting to see it start to catch up to the real world when it comes to recognizing beauty in all women — not only of all sizes but all ethnicities and ages, too.

And while we’re thrilled with this shift towards body positivity, it’s nothing new. Curves have always been “in” for us.

Since the debut of our first collection, we’ve made it our mission to make all women feel beautiful, stylish, and of course, comfortable. Because our brand celebrates every woman’s unique sense of style, we have always offered a size range for women of all sizes.

With the fashion world making strides in a positive direction and a new season on the horizon, what better time to explore new styles to celebrate the beautiful, healthy curves that are uniquely you!
