Below are 4 easy steps I recommend for getting hands and nails smooth, soft and ready for the spring/summer season after suffering from the elements all winter.
• Carry with you and use daily a good hand moisturizer. It’s very easy for your hands and nails to dry out during winter so it’s important to keep them hydrated and moisturized. I love our Margaret Dabbs London Intensive Hydrating Hand Lotion with Wild Rose and White Water Lily to hydrate and tone the delicate skin on the hands.
• Look after your nails. It’s important that your nail bed and cuticles stay hydrated in the winter months as this will keep them looking healthy and will in turn promote strong nails and will reduce ridging, dehydration and tatty cuticles. Using a good nail & cuticle serum will combat this issue and keep them moisturized. Did you know you can also soak your nails in olive oil? I recommend our Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Serum used daily to address dry cuticles, weak nails and nails that have been damaged with acrylic nail removal.
• Use an anti-aging product to help with age spots, lines and wrinkles as well as hydration. This should always be used under your hand lotion and we recommend in the morning. Look for a product that addresses your hands needs. Margaret Dabbs London Intensive Anti-Aging Hand Serum is a perfect lightweight anti-aging product loaded with ingredients such as White Water Lily, Comfrey, Vitamin E, Lupinus Albus Seed and Sunflower Shoot.
• Use a well made nail file that will leave your edges smooth and seal the tip of the nail reducing the risk of infection and damage. Our Crystal Nail File is elegantly crafted to fit perfectly in your purse and keep nails from splitting.
